Beef & Broccoli Recipe
Sir Fry Ingredients:
- 1 tsp fresh ginger grated.
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup of hot water
- 6 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp corn starch
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Beef & Broccoli Ingredients:
- 1lb of Beef sliced in bite size piece. (I recommend using a flat iron, flank steak our fajita strips)
- 2Tbs olive oil, or butter
- 1lb of Broccoli (I use frozen, I recommend thawing first)
- 2 tsp Sesame seeds, optional garnish
- Mixed peas and Carrots
- 2 cups of Rice
- 2 Pouches of Bone Broth
Instructions:
1. Start by getting your rice ready. I put my thawed bone broth in the instant pot, then add in my rice, and veggies. I turn on low pressure and set for 20 minutes, once it beeps, I often use a spoon and stir it and let it cook for another 10mins or so on keep warm mode.
2. You will combine everything for the stir fry sauce into a bowl or measuring cup.
3. Add your butter or olive oil to a hot pan, make sure pan is warm before adding, then on medium heat add in your broccoli. You will want to sauté for 5-6mins until broccoli is cooked. If you like your broccoli softer you can instead use your broccoli and a small amount of water and cook it with the lid on to steam it first. (2 Tbsp of water)
4. Turn the heat up high, remove the cooked broccoli, add in more butter if needed, then add in your pre-sliced beef. Cook until both sides are done.
5.Once the beef is done, reduce your heat to low, add in your sauce and broccoli and just keep stirring for 3-4mins, you don't want it to stick. Some people like a thinner sauce, if that's the case you can thin it by adding 1-2 Tbsp of water or bone broth. We usually keep the sauce how it is.
6. Finally, serve over rice!
