July was full of fire works

Harvest is almost done in western Kansas, and I am excited to have my husband back with us more often. 

Family Update

Our kids love riding in the tractor with their dad, but this harvest Charlie has been semi bound, so it hasn't been safe for the kids to ride. So instead we have tried to make the most of our time, going to the pool, traveling to see friends, playing in the garden, going to the library. We have a pool pass which was $150 for our whole family, and we will go to neighboring community pools for $5 a visit, so it makes it truly manageable.

Sadie has preschool registration at the end of the month, I am so thankful our preschool here is free. She is so excited, I still need to order her the backpack she wanted, but we are almost there. I loath buying the girls new clothes, and greatly enjoy a great deal, so we will be in Wichita in August for the Rhea Lana consignment sale. I plan to buy the girls winter clothes then! Many states offer similar events, and its a great way to find clothing, toys, books, and all of the baby gear a momma would need.

Shipping and Box Update

We will be shipping out club boxes today and Monday! So get me your preferences soon! There has been a change this month. We will be limited to beef, until this fall. Pork will be back and be fully stocked just like beef, but we will have a waiting period. Don't worry all your favorites will be back, same recipe as before. We will begin offering Holiday Prime Rib & Whole Tenderloin ordering in August. These prime ribs will be a minim 21 day dry age. We are testing them out now with our butcher to perfect their cutting. This year we have opened up our prime ribs to businesses looking to gift them to their employees. So if this is something your business would like to offer, we would love to work with you.

Return Your Box

For those that have returned boxes and have not received extra ground beef, please let me know so we don't miss you I think we are caught up, but please remind me if you still have some you are sending. Some boxes don't have your name inside so I want to make sure I don't miss anyone. We really need you to keep returning those boxes. The library here was so excited to receive all of the books you have sent back. I took like 3 large boxes of books in a few weeks ago and they enjoyed them immensely.

Return Boxes Update

1. Tape a piece of paper over our logo sticker with our address on it.

2. Then place a piece of paper over the shipping label that had your information on it.

3. Next place a book inside the box

4. Then tape the box, just to keep it shut.

5. Take the box to the post office and tell them you have a media rate package to mail out. They may ask you to confirm what is inside, and you explain you are mailing out books to donate to a small town in Kansas. 

6. You pay a small postage between $4-$7 and then we gift you 2 packs of free ground beef on your next order
